Medication Assistants work in nursing homes or long-term care facilities. The primary activities include following standard practices of infection control, using drug references to access information, following medication orders, documenting medication-related information, assisting with storage and stocking of medications, reporting effects of drug on residents, setting up drugs for med pass, and administering medications.
